Men Are Watching (and Waxing) Their Backs

by ron on July 20, 2010

Men obsessing about hair loss is old news.  Men obsessing about too much hair is the latest news.  In response, the overwhelming majority of day spas no offer back waxing or hair removal services for men as well as women.Whether for California or Maine, weight lifters, swimmers and bicyclists often ask for full body waxes.  Some football players also get waxed to prevent the sports tape from sticking.Mostly, guys just seem to want to be smooth, opting for hair removal on their backs, shoulders and chests.  In addition to keeping their pecs and abs in shape, they’ve also begun to do the same for the glabellae – that once ignored spot between the eyebrows at the top of the nose.  Unibrows are out for both men and women.Waxing also makes getting a massage much easier on men, and on the therapist.  Massaging a hairy chest or back often tugs and pulls, no matter how much oil or massage gel is used.  It’s also cooler — both in looks and in temperature!
